Union Institute & University (UI&U) will award 25 credits to students who successfully complete the course training program with the Academy of Addictive Studies. Credit hours recommended in this agreement will be extended to anyone who holds a current Florida certification as a Certified Addiction Specialist or Certified Addiction Counselor. This agreement will further be extended to anyone who holds a current Certified Addiction Counselor designation by virtue of successful passage of the international examination and whose home state participates in the International Certification and Reciprocity Consortium.

Other certificates and documented training will be evaluated on an individual bases and awarded appropriate credits based on the results of the evaluation. Union Institute & University accepts credits in transfer from regionally accredited colleges and universities and reserves the right to apply, or not to apply, acceptable transfer credit toward degree requirements.
