Alumnus Named New Fire Chief
Fire Chief Daryl C. Arbuthnott
Union Institute & University alumnus Daryl C. Arbuthnott is the new Vallejo, CA Fire Chief. He comes to Vallejo from Davis where he has been serving as fire chief since July 2017. Chief Arbuthnott brings more than 37 years of experience to the position.
“It is an honor to serve the community of Vallejo where I can apply all of the knowledge, experience and education I’ve gained over the past 37 years,” Arbuthnott said in a city statement. “I am thrilled to be part of a community that is experiencing so much growth and excitement.”
He holds a UI&U Bachelor of Science in Public Administration and a Master of Business Administration in Risk Management, Business Continuity and Security from Boston University.
