Ian Norris is Associate Professor of Economics and Business at historic Berea College in Berea, Kentucky. Prior to joining Berea he received tenure and promotion in the psychology department at Murray State University in Murray, KY. He received an MBA at Murray State University and a PhD in Social Psychology from Texas Tech University. His research crosses the boundaries of social psycology, behavioral economics, management and marketing, spanning both organizational and consumer behavior. He has published in top journals such as Academy of Management Review and Psychology & Marketing.
He has taught a variety of courses at Union in the PsyD, Masters in Counseling, and Organizational Leadership programs. At Berea, he teaches courses primarily in Marketing, such as Marketing Research and Consumer Behavior. Outside of Academia, Ian enjoys running marathons, hiking in the mountains, playing guitar and spending time with his wife Megan, a music teacher, and his two children—4-year old Molly and 2-year old Gabriel.
