Zoe Chang has her Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Chaffey College in Rancho Cucamonga, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology with a minor in Child Psychology from Chapman University in Orange, CA. She also received her Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education, emphasizing Early Childhood Trauma Studies from Pacific Oaks College in Pasadena, CA.

She has worked as a home visitor teacher from a federally funded program, Early Head Start. She is now a consultant and resource teacher for California Child Care Resource and Referral Network.

Zoe has more than 20 years of experience working with young children, parents, and early educators. She is the only Mandarin-English speaker, early education consultant, and trainer in Southern California.

In her twenty years in the profession, Zoe had dedicated her time to promote the importance of early childhood education in the community. Zoe believes that human brains develop before birth and that the first six years of a child’s life are incredibly significant because this is the most complex time for brain development. The environment and relationship young children experience during their first six years builds the connections that allow them to grow and achieve lifelong skills like problem-solving, social-emotional skill development, language, and cognitive development. Zoe’s early childhood philosophy is that an early learning environment needs to encourage exploration, creativity, and teach young children independence. Young children will only learn when the environment is designed to meet their developmental needs. Zoe wants to share her early childhood education knowledge and experiences.

Zoe moved to the US and attended college. She understands the challenges of learning a second language as an adult. She often uses herself as an example to encourage adult second langue language learners.  Zoe and her fiancé enjoying traveling. They have traveled to nearly twenty countries and volunteered at local schools while traveling.
