That is the question that UI&U alumnus, Dr. J. William Poole answered in his book, “What Makes Preachers and/or Pastors Great?” Dr. Poole concluded that they live by example as he examined the lives of four prominent African American ministers.

 

 

Recipient of Union Honorary Doctorate to Deliver Convocation Address

La June Montgomery Tabron, president and CEO of the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, and UI&U recipient of an honorary doctorate, will address psychiatrists at the APA Annual Meeting in San Francisco when she delivers this year’s William C. Menninger Memorial Convocation Lecture, titled, “Psychiatric Leadership to Expand Equity and Well-Being.”
