Professor Yolanda Carlos role as Union Institute and University Affiliate Faculty has developed a passion for the Early Childhood Education Profession. She has presented papers and workshops at Statewide and international conferences, most recently The Learner Scholar Conference, Belfast, Ireland Queen’s University on the topic of Anti-Bias through the Lens of the Practitioner. She is interested in pedagogy, curriculum and research focusing on Early Childhood Education and Brain Based Learning. Most recently presenting workshops throughout China and California focusing on STEAM specialization developed for educators and a specialization in Trauma for teachers at the World Forum (2017). Her aim is to support teachers in meeting the diverse needs of children and families.
