Union Institute & University Ranked Among Best in Nation by U.S. News & World Report
U.S. News & World Report has ranked Union Institute & University among the nation’s best. The highly regarded report released, January 14, 2020, ranks Union at No. 85 in Best Online Bachelor’s Program for Veterans and No. 152 in Best Online Bachelor’s Program.
The annual ranking is designed to assist adults searching for a university to advance their education and career goals. Approximately 1,500 programs are included in the rankings and information was gathered from each institution related to student engagement, faculty credentials, student services, and technology.
The ranking by U.S. News & World Report underscores President Karen Schuster Webb’s commitment to distinguish Union as a world-class university.

Dr. Peter Caccavari, Associate Vice President for Institutional Effectiveness, said, “This is the third consecutive year that Union Institute & University has been ranked in the top 160 institutions nationwide serving online students. UI&U has made a significant investment in enhancing the student online experience by moving this January to a new learning management system—Desire2Learn’s Brightspace platform. Online education provides access to students who would otherwise not be able to get a college education due to time or geographic constraints. UI&U has been working to build our reach beyond the United States into other countries by building on our online presence.”
