8:30pm EST

Considering the next step in your educational journey? This webinar is designed for currently enrolled Union Institute & University undergraduate students to learn about continuing to a master’s degree. To RSVP e-mail Dr. Jay Keehn, Associate Dean Student Success.

An admissions essay is a standard part of applying to any graduate program. It is also is an opportunity for you to introduce yourself to the program and its faculty. Your essay should not only describe who you are but also provide a glimpse into the questions you want answered, why you want them answered, and how you intend to use your degree professionally. There will be plenty of time at the conclusion of the presentation for questions.

This webinar will cover:

  • the essential ingredients to include in your admissions essay
  • writing tips that will make your essay shine
  • strategies to consider when developing your essay

Presenter:

Eric Mast is Eric Mastthe Writing and Academic Tutoring Center Coordinator at Union Institute & University. He has been teaching college composition for nearly 20 years and is currently working on his doctorate in education at Union. Prior to joining Union, he was the director of tutoring for the Center for Access and Transition at the University of Cincinnati.
